The auspicious time (Shubh Muhurat) for performing Shiv Puja and Shiv Puja Mantra Anusthan starts from:

Thus, Mahashivratri should be celebrated on the night of February 26, 2025.
How Many Times Should the Shiv Mantra Mantra Be Chanted on Mahashivratri 2025?
Any Shiv Puja Mantra or Shiv Shabar Mantra should be chanted at least 10,000 to 1,25,000 times. However, on Mahashivratri night, one should chant at least 10,000 times or 11,000 times (i.e., 11 malas or 21 malas).
For the next 364 days, chant at least 108 times daily.
On Siddha Parva (special festivals like eclipses, Holi, Deepawali, Janmashtami, Vijayadashami), chant 11 malas again.
