Griha Pravesh Muhurat 2019: Auspicious dates for house warming ceremony

Griha Pravesh or House Warming Ceremony is a one-time ritual that is performed when one enters in his/her newly purchased home for living in it. Vastu Shastri and Occult Experts recommend this ceremony to perform with extreme care as this is one of the important days of the life of an individual.

Hence during House Warming one should invite Priest/Brahmin who has experience in performing Griha Pravesh Pooja, Navgraha Pooja, Vastu Dosha Nivaran and Ganesha Poojan.

Best Muhurata for Peace, Good Health and Prosperity

There are special time zones, if used properly then your house will offer you peace, good health and prosperity. By time zone, I mean to say auspicious timing – Muhurta which can be seen today easily in Android apps such as Drik Panchang, Hindu Calendar, etc. but these apps do not give you those auspicious times for Grisha Pravesh – Time to enter the new house – i.e Grisha Pravesh.

There are few times and rules to be followed for Grisha Pravesh and Vastu Poojan.

Month:  According to Indian Traditional and Vastu Shastra, it is always preferable to perfomVastu Poojan on Indian calendar month – Magha, Falghun, Vaishakh, Jestha which is said to Best month for Vastu Pravesh.

Indian month:Kartik and Mugashir are said to give little and lesser positive effects on Vastu.

While Aashadh,Shravan,Bhadrapadha,Ashwin,Pausha does not give that effect as expected.

Days: Like month Indian culture also gives insight as to which days are auspicious for the Vastu Pravesh. Except Tuesday all other days are considered good for Pravesh and Poojan.

Few Scholars in northern India considered Sunday and Saturday to avoid for Vastu Poojan.

Tithi and Pakshya: Tithi is the date of Indian Calender (30 days – 15 days of Shukla and 15 days of Krishna Pakshya).

2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12 and 13 are said auspicious Tithi for Poojan while experts says one should always avoid Amavasya and Poornima and also Krishna Pakshya dates for Vastu Poojan.

Lagna – Like dates and months- Indian Astrology and Vastu also considered Lagna to be used for this ceremony. Hence Vrusabh, Singha,Vrushikh, Kumbha said to be best Lagna while Mithun,Kanya, Dhanu,Meen,as Neutral and Mesha, Karka, Tula, Makar Rashi/Lagna is to avoid totally.

Nakshtra – In Indian Astrology Panchang plays a major role in covering or performing any activities or even for future prediction. Numerologists and Traditional Astrologists always considered Nakshtras as biggest parameters for day to day activities.

Uttar Bahdrapada,Roshini, Marghashira, Chitra, Anuradha, RevtiNakshatra are best for Poojan.

Days or Night – Many People argue and ask me whether we should go for Grisha Pravesh at Night or Day?

Many Vastu Experts says that Day or Night can be utilized for the auspicious ceremony on the condition looking upon all others parameters.

Auspicious Time (Muhurta) in Griha Pravesh for Renovated House

There special Muhurutasare for a house warming or for those houses which are renovated. Hence I am writing those timings for renovated houses.

Months –Magh, Mirgashira, Shravan, Magh, Falghun, Vaishakh,Jetha

Tithi –All the dates are allowed except, Bhadra Tithi, 4 , 6 , 8 , 9 and 14, Poornima and Amavasya.

Day/ Night – It is said that except Sunday and Tuesday, all days are good.

Nakshatra –Mirgshira,Pushya,Swathi, Chitra,Anuradha, Uttar Falghuni,Aashadh,Bhadrapada,Dhanistha,Shatbhisha and Revti.
