तमोऽरिं सर्वपापघ्नं प्रणतोऽस्मि दिवाकरम् ॥ १॥
सूर्य देव की कांति जपा के कुसुम के समान हैं, वे कश्यप ऋषि की संतान हैं, वे अंधकार का नाश करते हैं, जो सभी पाप को नष्ट कर देते हैं, ऐसे सूर्य भगवान को मैं नमन करता हूँ।
I pray to the Sun, the day-maker, destroyer of all sins, the enemy of darkness, of great
brilliance, the descendent of Kashyapa,
the one who shines like the japa flower.
दधिशङ्खतुषाराभं क्षीरोदार्णवसंभवम् ।
नमामि शशिनं सोमं शम्भोर्मुकुटभूषणम् ॥ २॥
चंद्र देव जो कि दही, शंख व हिम के सामान प्रख्यात हैं, जो क्षीर सागर से उत्पन्न हुए हैं, जो चंद्र देव साक्षात् शिवजी के मस्तिष्ट पर मुकुट रूप में सुशोभित हैं, उन्हें मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

धरणीगर्भसंभूतं विद्युत्कान्तिसमप्रभम् ।
कुमारं शक्तिहस्तं तं मङ्गलं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ३॥
जो पृथ्वी के गर्भ से उत्पन्न हुए हैं, विद्युत् अर्थात बिजली के सामान जो कांतिमय हैं, जिनके हाथों में अत्यधिक शक्तियां हैं, ऐसे मंगल देव को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

प्रियङ्गुकलिकाश्यामं रूपेणाप्रतिमं बुधम् ।
सौम्यं सौम्यगुणोपेतं तं बुधं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ४॥
प्रियंगु की कलि की भांति ही जिनका वर्ण सांवला हैं, जिनके कई रूप हैं और उनकी महिमा अपरंपार हैं, जो सौम्य गुणों से परिपूर्ण हैं, ऐसे बुध देव को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

देवानां च ऋषीणां च गुरुं काञ्चनसंनिभम् ।
बुद्धिभूतं त्रिलोकेशं तं नमामि बृहस्पतिम् ॥ ५॥
जो देवों व ऋषि-मुनियों के गुरु हैं और कंचन के समान जिनकी प्रभा हैं, जो बुद्धि प्रदान करते हैं और तीनों लोकों के स्वामी हैं, उन बृहस्पति देव को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

हिमकुन्दमृणालाभं दैत्यानां परमं गुरुम् ।
सर्वशास्त्रप्रवक्तारं भार्गवं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ६॥
हिम, कुंद व मृणाल के समान जिनका व्यक्तित्व हैं, असुरों के जो गुरु हैं, जो सभी शास्त्रों में निपुण हैं, ऐसे शुक्र देव को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

shines like the fiber of snow-white jasmine.
नीलांजनसमाभासं रविपुत्रं यमाग्रजम् ।
छायामार्तण्डसंभूतं तं नमामि शनैश्चरम् ॥ ७॥
जो नीले वर्ण के हैं, सूर्य देव के जो पुत्र हैं, यमराज जिनके बड़े भाई हैं, छाया ही जिनका रूप हैं, ऐसे शनि देव को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।
I pray to Saturn, the slow-moving, born of Shade and Sun, the elder brother of Yama,
the offspring of Sun, he who has the appearance of black collyrium.
अर्धकायं महावीर्यं चन्द्रादित्यविमर्दनम् ।
सिंहिकागर्भसंभूतं तं राहुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ८॥
जिनका शरीर आधा हैं, जो सभी में महान हैं, जो अपनी शक्ति से सूर्य व चंद्रमा के मान को भी भंग कर देते हैं, सिंहिका के गर्भ से जो उत्पन्न हुए हैं, ऐसे राहु देव को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।
I pray to Rahu, having half a body of great bravery,
the eclipses of the Moon and the Sun, born of Simhika.
पलाशपुष्पसंकाशं तारकाग्रहमस्तकम् ।
रौद्रं रौद्रात्मकं घोरं तं केतुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ९॥
पलाश के पुष्प के समान जिनका वर्ण लाल हैं, जो तारक ग्रह हैं और बिना मस्तक के हैं, जिनका रूप अत्यधिक विशालकाय व रोद्र हैं, ऐसे केतु देव को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।
I pray to Ketu, who has the appearance of the Palasha flower, the head of stars and planets, fierce and terrifying.
इति व्यासमुखोद्गीतं यः पठेत्सुसमाहितः ।
दिवा वा यदि वा रात्रौ विघ्नशान्तिर्भविष्यति ॥ १०॥
Those who read the song sung by Vyasa will be joyous, sovereign, and powerful,
and will succeed in appeasing obstacles occurring by day or by night.
नरनारीनृपाणां च भवेद्दुःस्वप्ननाशनम् ।
ऐश्वर्यमतुलं तेषामारोग्यं पुष्टिवर्धनम् ॥
महर्षि वेदव्यास जी के मुख से निकले इस नवग्रह स्तोत्र का जो भी नर या नारी सुबह व शाम को पाठ करता हैं, उसके सभी कष्ट व दुःख समाप्त हो जाते हैं। उस नर-नारी, राजा इत्यादि के सभी कष्ट, दुःख, पाप इस स्तोत्र के माध्यम से नष्ट होते हैं और उन्हें वैभव, यश व सुख की प्राप्ति होती हैं। वे सदा निरोगी रहते हैं तथा लंबी आयु को प्राप्त करते हैं।

ग्रहनक्षत्रजाः पीडास्तस्कराग्निसमुद्भवाः ।
ताः सर्वाः प्रशमं यान्ति व्यासो ब्रूते न संशयः ॥
किसी भी ग्रह या नक्षत्र के दोष से पीड़ित मनुष्य की सभी समस्याओं का नाश हो जाता हैं। यह स्वयं महर्षि वेदव्यास जी ने कहा हैं और इसलिए इसमें किसी को भी शंका नही होनी चाहिए।
