What is Shubh Muhurut for Shiv Pooja on Shivratri 2025 : On Hindu Calender , Falghun Month in 14th Date of Krishna Pakshya came great night of Lord Shiva which is known to us as Mahashivratri .

It is said it is the best time to perform Shiv Pooja to get a blessing of Lord Shiv and Maa Parvati and attend happiness and prosperity.

महाशिवरात्रि: कब करे शिव पूजन?

According to Scholar on 26th Feb 2025, the auspicious time *( Shubh Muhurut for Shiv Pooja ) for performing Shiv Pooja is starting from 26th Feb 2025 night 06: 43 pm to 6:69 am in the morning of27th Feb 2025

Although ancient script says that Shivratri Pooja has to perform at night in 2 to 4 Prahar . Here Prahar according to Astrology mean 3 hours. In Astrology 3 hours is considered as ONE Prahar.

There are 8 Prahar in a whole day starting from Sunrise 6 am to 9 am – 1st Prahar , then 9 am to 12 Noon as 2nd Prahar , 12 noon to 3 pm as 3rd Prahar , 3pm to 6 pm as 4th Prahar. Similarly from 6pm to next day 6 am there Four Prahar.

Many Monks and Priest consider Chaukhadiya ( another time zone ) in Hindu Calendar as the measurement to sort Best Time for Shiv Pooja.

In Chaukhadiya Calender- every 90 minutes is equal to ONE Chaukhadiya.

महाशिवरात्रि २०२४ : भगवन शिव को क्या अर्पित करे शिव पूजन मे?

It is always suggested by priest and monks that Shiv Pooja should be done Abhishek wherein one should pour Milk mix with water and black til. Also, the devotee should do either Panchopchar or Shaudash-upchar in Shiv Pooja.

One can also offer 108 Belpatra while reciting 108 Lord Shiva Names in shiv pooja. At the end of pooja, s/he should chant Shiv Mantra, MahaMrityunjay Mantra or Panchshar Mantra.
